All
photos mailed in are returned back to you unharmed with your finished
portrait. How
long will it take to complete the portrait?
I can draw your Charcoal & Pastel portrait in 5 days upon receiving your order. Oil Paintings always take 2-4 weeks to complete. While
I'm drawing your portrait, I will email a scan of your portrait to
you so you can see how it's coming along, and for you to make any
changes before it's mailed out to you.
Are
the portraits hand-drawn?
Yes, all portraits are completely hand-drawn, the old-fashioned way. I do NOT use any computer equipment to create my portraits. Which
photos are best to send?
The more clear and focused your photo is, the more accurate your portrait will be. If your photo is blurry or the subject is very small in the photo, I will have to do a lot of guesswork on the detail, and your portrait won't be as accurate as it could be. *Extra
photos are also suggested as they can serve as a reference for colouring,
details, and personality, especially when the primary picture is old
or blurry or have red-eye problems, etc.
Can
I have this matted and framed?
All the portraits are matted for ensure safe shipping. However, the portrait is easy to take out of the matting board in case you prefer to have a mat of your choice. I do not frame the portraits myself because it's risky to ship with the glass in the frame. I think it's best if you pick out a frame of your choice for your portrait after you receive it. What
size will the portrait be?
